After several months without posts due to the redundancy of Bush's continued shredding of the Constitution with NOBODY to stand up against it, I cannot think of anything else to do except to pen my sorrow for the end of the Repuplic that I have grown up in. With the passing of Bush's "anti terror bill" in the the House of Representatives and now the Senate on September 28th, 2006, we have become a nation who's laws are more and more like China's on the day student's demanded democracy in Tiananmen square.
My question, plain and simple, is that if an American Citizen can be detained indefinitely(that means forever or until they are dead) because of witness' testimony(possibly coerced lies through
torture and not allowed to be detailed in court because of "national security concerns") and citizens are not allowed to appeal their charges because they are considered "enemy combatants," WHAT DOES OUR CONSTITUTION NOW STAND FOR?
Just asking. Just crying...until they come for me and there is nobody left to protest.
